Hello, my name is Veronika. I've been a teacher of English for over 7 years by now. I graduated magna cum laude from Teacher Training University where I had an extensive internship in the USA in 2005 and 2006 and in 2011. I’ve been teaching English to students of all levels (from beginners up to advanced); I give classes of General English, Business English (general and specific), English for tourism and immigration to different countries/ preparation for the interview at any embassy. I am a very communicative person, and at my classes I combine communicative methods with regular/interactive methods of teaching so that my students never get bored.
I also prepare school leavers for Russian State Exam, and I prepare students for IELTS and TOEFL.
At my classes I employ only authentic new materials and textbooks, most of which are by Longman, Cambridge, Oxford and MacMillan editions. My students always like a variety of creative exercises and ideas in English which help them not only improve their level of grammar and understanding of English as a language, but also they break what I call “the shyness barrier” when speaking to native speakers and friends from other countries.
I’ve been travelling the most part of my life. Now I live in Russia and spend a lot of time each year in the USA attending linguistic seminars and international schools as a teacher of English and a linguist-associate. I’ve had a wide experience of teaching English to students from Russia, Europe, Asia and Africa.
As I would like my classes to be as interesting as possible, I use all kinds of podcasts, videos, role plays and original pictures and photos for a more informative lesson.
I believe in my students and I believe that anyone can gain success in learning English! Good Luck!
